I was honored when Janice at Crazy Good Parent asked me to write a guest post. Crazy Good Parent is an encouraging site that tackles the unique challenges of parenting while coping with the various mental disorders and issues that many of us face. Rather than use the phrase “mental illness”, Janice refers to it as “neurodiversity” as a way to honor the different ways in which our brains work. It’s another step toward removing the stigma associated with mental health by using language that celebrates diversity instead of chastising differences.
This month, Crazy Good Parent is focusing on relationships. In Alcoholic Finds Jesus, I write about my spiritual journey and the role it plays in my mental health. Come over and visit me, check out the site and be sure to click follow while you’re there!
